Normal sheetrock walls usually pass sound quite readily. A wall with 1/2" sheetrock and wooden studs means normal conversation can be heard through them. Improving the sound reduction capability has, untill now, meant a costly, labor intensive remodel needing a knowledgable contractor using resilient channel or Sound Isolation rubber mountings called "Sound Clips".
InsulTrax is a less expensive, easier to use, replacement for the "Sound Clips" long established for advanced sound control.
Listen. You can get STC's of 52 and above in your walls and ceilings with this simple and inexpensive system!
